About the lab
Vinci Research is a multidisciplinary R&D lab based in Italy, inspired by the inventive legacy of Leonardo da Vinci. Founded in collaboration with the University of Oxford’s Digital Twins course, Vinci Research brings together applied AI, immersive simulation, and systems thinking to tackle challenges in high-stakes, precision-driven industries. We specialize in multimodal AI and adaptive digital environments that support real-time decision-making, training, and automation. Our work advances the next generation of AI-powered Digital Twins—intelligent systems that model, interpret, and interact with complex workflows through grounded, domain-specific knowledge.
The AI for Engineering Sciences
Our collaboration with the AI for Engineering Sciences course of the University of Oxford seeks to inspire the next generation of engineers, through real use cases and hands on experience developing AI solutions for highly specialized and complex environments.
Our journey also includes collaboration with key industry players like Epic Games (Unreal Engine), Microsoft, and Neo4j, strengthening the lab’s resources and opportunities for innovation.
